Mission
The Alief Independent School District Education Foundation is a 5001(C)3 tax-exempt non-profit charitable organization. The foundation was formed in 1994 to acquire donations and provide grants for programs and projects that  enhance the quality of education for the students of the Alief Independent School District.
 

Purpose
The Alief Independent School District Education Foundation has been created to support the educational programs of the Alief Independent School District. It will provide funds beyond the normal operating budget for educational programs and activities for students and staff.  These funds are not available through tax revenues.  Foundation funds will be used to facilitate student achievement and skill development, recognize and encourage staff excellence, and expand community involvement from individuals, business, and civic organizations.

The Foundation will achieve its mission by directing support toward the following goals.
1. Enhance student academic opportunities and personal development.
     a.  Provide resources for educational activities for students including out-of-school expenses.
     b.  Award scholarships for academic achievement and leadership opportunities.
     c.  Model activities adaptable to all  students which serve to promote academic success,
          personal well-being, and respect for others.
2. Encourage exemplary employee achievement within all divisions of Alief Independent School District.      
    a. Recognize excellence in the area of employee achievement and growth.
    b. Provide venture capital for innovative programs and activities.
    c. Fund professional development and leadership programs.
3. Promote continued support from individuals,  business, and civic organizations.
    a. Create greater community awareness of the importance of the importance and direction of public
        education - especially in the Alief Independent School District.
    b. Support events which encourage greater school/community understanding.
    c.  Facilitate and enhance school/community partnership.
